| Having only a handful of decent native compressors for Buzz (such as Channelstrip & BGTech's compressor), jzComp is a very welcome addition indeed!
For those of you who already know Joachim's Channelstrip, you probably know about the great sounding compressor it comes bundled with. However, Channelstrip might be a little confusing or overkill for some who only want/need just a simple compressor.
As a result Joachim made jzComp, which basically is the compressor part from Channelstrip, with the same excellent sound quality.
My personal favorite compressor has always been BGTech's comp., but after doing several tests comparing BGTech's comp with jzComp, i can now announce that i have TWO favorite compressors:)
Both comp's has different strengths and color, and its nice to have multiple choices, depending on what sound you are after.
Remember to try out the BIG attribute (under jzComp's attributes).
"Low frequency content contains more energy than high frequency content. Because of this, the bass will often tend to make the rest of the sound duck in a nasty way. The 'Big' button can prevent this unfortunate problem." |
