| Hahaha....first comment on infector, awesome.......
Very very fast and thick synth, the cornerstone of pretty much every buzzer's song. |

| A beautiful piece of code. 2 Oscs + 1 Sub osc. Pulse Width Modulation, 2 LFO's and the usually overlooked "Mode Flags". This is a fantastic synth with great sound.
Some Tips:
Go to the attributes of the Infector. In here you can activate midi, high quality mode and more.
1. theviderness factor... when set at Higher values the resonance will be more at high cutoffs and less at low cutoffs...
when turned to low values or off the resonance will be the same at low and high cutoffs.
2. Set the Mode Flags to L1L2. This will make the LFO's reset with each note. Great for Drum and Bass sounds aswell as pads.
3. If you want a very sharp crisp sound, don't use the first oscillator. Set the osc mix to 100% osc 2 and just use osc 2 and the sub osc to make a sound. This will be the sharpest, crispest sound with the most control(rather than using osc 1 which can't be transposed).

| Ok so no one rated this machine yet so i HAD to.
The FSM Infector....
This machine is 1337! By far one of the best (probably in the top5) machines ever made for buzz. FSM machines are rock solid and this is no exception.
It is capable of anything from a 303 emulation, a PHAT Pad to experimental Synths. Its overall usage is very simple although it boasts a fine selection of parameters to tweak. Its filters alone are awesome (FSM Philthy if you want to use them on other Generators). It also has Quality Settings in its attributes if you have the CPU to handle it (which we should all have by now).
I use FSM machines constantly and several in each track and This is no exception.
Check it out - Be awestruck and pump out some tasty sounds. As Always FSM - you da man! |

| One of the best buzz synths. Watch out though, if you use vibratos portamentos or note slides its going to crash and often!!
Some people have said though that it doesnt crash for them when using those features so you better try and see how it works for you. |

| FSM Infector is one of my favorite softsynths. It still remains versatile and is a very useful machine.
Things i love about this synth
- good sound, good number of params without being overbearing
- good notation range across multiple octaves
- has a Great list of tracker commands .... even note delays
- good navigation on its pattern editor + param editor when adding alot of tracks
- can load waveforms (wavetable synthesis)
- very cpu friendly
FSM - thanks for this synth - really taught me alot over the years. The preset file contains 300 or so presets compiled by the buzz community !
Some bmx example files of why it is so good
A small but big pack -300kb
http://www.noolmusic.com/machmanuals/fsm_infector_bmx_files.rar
The file size in rar - 343kb
The file size uncompressed ~ 13mb
In this rar file, you will find about 135 individual bmx files taken from Kooper's template pack, my own template pack, HamsterAlliances's packs, buzzmachines, and all over the place.

| This powerful synth may not have as many parameters as it's competitors but this makes it really easy to understand. And the parameters that are there, are the really relevant ones, so basically this synth is incredibly versatile, considering how simple it is. You can do basslines, pads, leads etc. with it. Usually i use samples all the time, but this is the first buzz softsynth i've begun using on a steady basis. |
