Here's a file that (I think) illustrates what abc was talking about. I wasn't able to use two Rovox's along the same signal chain (I'm usually not) so I used a Morphin in its stead.
BTW- don't laugh, I did this in, like five minutes, and I needed a vox sample under 100k. errgh, you'll see what I'm talking about. *8P
BTW(2)- great idea abc!

BTW I've forgotten to write that the modulator of the transposed
path also has to be transposed in the same way as the carrier,
so all in all it takes 3 FSM Tunaman machines - one for the carrier of the
second vocoder, one after the second vocoder and one for the
modulator of the second vocoder.
Nah, vocoders are just cool machines, all in all... :)
