High Quality Euro Patch

Date: 2003-05-08 Author: s.van.leeuwen Viewed 3575 times

High Quality Euro Patch Author: Sjef van Leeuwen (svanleeuwen@tcpx.com)
This is a high quality Europatch, it contains, standard hihats, snare and kick + euro sound and delays to melt everything together.
It mainly demonstrates the warmth that tubes can give you, main element here is Zu's Tube.
If you are into Trance/Techno, this is a very handy starting point to play your trance melodies. The trance saws very broad and can be played over various octaves. It's even fairly good for bass sounds etc. In other words, full spectrum.
The infector has midi enabled, thus you can play.
There's one little bug, the sounds starts to crackle if there's no input on the trance saws.... use a gate or something.

MVA: weird, it didn't attach while it's smaller than 100K

This patch baby really rocks!!! Just played around a little with the Infector and the Multi compressor and the result was great! 2003-05-08 by mva

Well, I'm still reading old reviews if I have time. Just wanna say tnx :). 2003-05-09 by h.u.n.t.e.r (be)

I can only say one thing wow what a sound. It plays flawlessly on my p2 400, very impressive!! 2003-05-09 by constellation x

It's not perfect. Zu's TubeHead still produces some distortion. If you like to use this as a template for commercial productions, I advice to replace the Tubehead by a VST plugin, such as Blue Tubes from the Nomad Factory. 2003-05-09 by s.van.leeuwen

I could just listen to this loop over and over... :) very cool! 2003-05-10 by ExistentialSurealist

I rewired it a bit, cut all the effects after the ChorD and replaced them with a high and low EQ split, c0mb0 delay, and some compression...then made a little song out of it: Hamst3r - Clockwork Dreams.mp3 (right click, save as...) :D wheeee! Thanks for the ideas. 2003-05-12 by hamsteralliance

hamsteralliance: did you cut-down the Tube too, cause that's the core of the review if I'm right... 2003-05-12 by mva

Mva: yeah, I took it off and put another distortion soft distortion on it. I know it strays kind of far from the sound of the review; but it was inspired by it and started as it nonetheless! :D 2003-05-12 by hamsteralliance

Hamster, I can hear from your mix that you have the NS10's from Yamaha... 2003-05-23 by s.van.leeuwen

s.van.leeuwen, you're right - I do have a set of NS-10's, but I don't see how you would be able to hear that I have them since I didn't use them to mix that track. :) I used my normal cambridge Soundworks Computer speakers. 2003-05-27 by hamsteralliance
