the real possible all in one fx/generator
OK, this machine/FX could make many wishes obsolete: a fx/machine which is a connection of other machines/fxs with centralized controllers. (ok I'll try it different) I have a special setup of fxs. I save them as an template. ok, but when I load the template I'll only see ONE machine and the parameters are chosen values of the different fxs in the template (for example one parameter controls the cutoff of a filter and the decay in reverse of another one. and one controls two parameters of two different fxs and so on..) to say it in short: it's like in reaktor where you create a machine and it's controllers based on other machines/fxs/whatever and then create a new one with them! who needs a morphing filter? nobody! just create one yourself!! who needs an allinone fx?? just create one with the machines which are allreade there!! the same with the generators (probably more complicated) you want a sample player with 4/6/8/n layers?? no problem: just a few clicks!! if someone could create this machine/fx, it would bring buzz to a whole new level of useability developer could concentrate on coding the important "stuff" and people without coding skills could use audio knowledge to create machines/fxs!! PLEASE SOMEONE TRY TO REALIZE THIS IDEA!!! IT WOULD CHANGE A LOT!!

2001-11-19: its a good idea, but pretty much impossible to add in buzz unless we get the source and stuff back... would be one hell of a hack ;-P hehe... but for future developments (ie progs people are working on to "replace" buzz), im sure such features will be mandatory! by lee_dc
2001-11-28: I'm not sure, but couldn't you do this with midi? That is, if you right click on a parameter and bind it to a midi controller, then right click on another one and bind it to the same one, you can control two or more things with one knob. The only difference is that you wouldn't be able to have one controler move negatively whilst another moves positiveley. I guess this is a good idea though (better than some silly "acoustic" one anyway) Because most people don't have keyboards with more than a few knobs. But then there's always loopback...
